My father Harry C. Wassmann was born in North Dakota on 3/16/1917. He died 5/24/1969 in Puyallup Washington and is buried in the Sumner cemetery. If you have read the story on this web  page about Zorro? Well he is Zorro. Nancy, my mother was born in Huron South Dakota on 8/20/ 1918 and is still living in Puyallup Washington at this time.

 My brother Dennis W Wassman was born 12/16/1943 and passed away In Tacoma, Washington on 1/22/1999 after a long battle with cancer.

This is my great great grandmother Mary Amanda (Wallace) Tietz. She lived long enough to help raise my mom. She was dearly loved by my mother.

Her Father's side of family

My Grandfather George with his sisters and my great great grandmother Theresa A (Linck) Adams who was born on March 4, 1804 in New York state and died June 5, 1898 in Vermillion, South Dakota

Another Picture of my maternal grandfather George Martus seated with his sisters standing in the back of picture. George was born March 16, 1894 in Vermillion, South Dakota. He died November 7, 1991 in Salem , Oregon. He married Beatrice Lee in Huron, south Dakota on November 9, 1917. They were later divorced and both remarried.

This is my great grandmother and great grandfather. John Martus and his wife Elvira (Adams) Martus. John died September 1894 and Elvira died November 14, 1894. They were pioneers in the Dakota territory and both got typhus and died just months apart. They left the children pictured above orphaned. The children were raised by their maternal grandparents until their death and then by the Catholic church in an orphanage.
