Putting the SteppIR in the air

New Yaesu G-800DXA and 300 feet of cable

Taking the 2 meter beam up the tower

2 meter beam in place

Looking at rotor to put it in the tower

Putting the sling on the SteppIR

Starting to go up the tram. Note the sling and how the balance is done. Wrapping a tag line around one element is very helpful to guide it around guy cables.

Another view of SteppIR on the tram

A close up of how the tram is attached to the sling which is connected to the balance point on the boom of the SteppIR.  Note in this picture the PVC tube on the SteppIR that houses the control lines for the antenna is loose so the mast bolts can be accessed better. He realigned that tube once it was in the air.
